The mission of the Motion Picture Association of Haiti, Inc. is to advocate for the welfare of the Haitian Filmmakers, provide opportunities for low-income youth to further develop their creative skills and talents in the arts, thereby educating them about the art of filmmaking, and assist Haitian American filmmakers to market their finish products on the International Community.

MPAH has established “Haiti Movie Awards” an annual event ceremony to honor and celebrate the hard work of Haitian Filmmakers and actors. Once a year, The Motion Picture Association of Haiti (MPAH) comes together with various businesses, civic leaders, renowned Haitian actors, government officials and Hollywood actors of Haitian descent to celebrate the advancement of Haitian Art, specifically the Haitian Movie industry.
The MPAH Haiti Movie Awards is the premier Haitian led event held in Boston Massachusetts annually. Among our past award winners and honorees are:

– Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick (2011 Humanitarian Award Recipient)

–  Hollywood actress Garcelle Beauvais (2013 Honorary Award Recipient)

– Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean Louis(2012 Honorary Award Recipient)

–  Prof. Laura Pincus Hartman(2013 Humanitarian Award Recipient)

-Massachusetts State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry (2011Humanitarian Award Recipient)

– Paul Walker (2014 Posthumous Humanitarian Award Recipient) Award was received by his brother   Cody Walker.

-Grammy award-winning rapper, Pras Michel ( 2015 MPAH Honorary Award Recipient)

-Celebrity Chef, Ron Duprat (2015 MPAH Honorary Award Recipient)

MPAH Youth Film Program
MPAH programs enable young people to develop stable relationships with caring and professional adult mentors and role models. These programs also offer opportunities for youth to engage in positive interactions with their peers. Our Youth Film Program will create opportunities for young people to further develop their creative skills and talents in arts.

The MPAH Youth Film Program will train youth in the art of filmmaking, teach them about video editing, cinematography and directing, thereby provide them with the necessary tools to be engaged as filmmakers, editors, or videographers.
