Overview
The Greater Boston Adult Day Health Center offers a culturally sensitive community setting for elderly and disabled patients whose medical conditions requires nursing supervision and/or rehabilitative therapy, and the help of people who understand the unique perspective of our Haitian-Creole Massachusetts residents. We help our members maintain their independence and vitality, while they take an active part in their community, and we support our members, enabling them to continue living in their homes. Other services you get as a member of the Greater Boston Adult Day Health Center is health, social, and nutritional intervention; an organized program of nursing services; supervision; maintenance; therapy; and socialization.
Working with a member’s family and physician(s), our staff develops a comprehensive plan of care that best meets a member’s individual needs, and the needs unique to the Haitian-Creole population. We make materials available in several languages, and have on-site staff fluent in Haitian-Creole and can explain sometimes complex topics and information in easy-to-understand language.
Our qualified team of staff includes a Program Director, Assistant Director, Nurses, Social Workers, Activities Leaders, and Program Assistants. Our team is constantly in contact and coordinating with the local agencies and other healthcare providers offering treatment and help.
